2020 ISC Gala: My Superhero
The theme of this year's ISC gala was “My Superhero”. Many members dressed up in the "superhero style" to echo the theme through their outfit, among which we had Captain America, Superwomen, Alita, Mulan and etc.
The gala featured a beautiful photo booth, fun games and comedy shows, all designed and presented by our talented members and guests. The highlight of the gala was member speeches, where members shared stories about their own superheros, from the Mighty Mouse, to the many unnamed hero from the video "Year in Search 2019" by Google. And the most popular superhero of the day, presented by multiple members, was the hero in ourselves. The gala reached its climax when all the attendees sang the song "Hero" by Mariah Carey together.
The gala was a great success and guests all immensely enjoyed it. Not only it was a great opportunity for having fun and connecting with like-minded female friends, more importantly, it has inspired guests to see and value the strength in themselves and empower them to live in a more meaningful way.
