Tulip Festival Ottawa City Walk

During the Tulip Festival, Ottawa becomes a vibrant and leisurely city, ideal for ISC members to enjoy a relaxed downtown walk. The group aimed to spend time outdoors, appreciate spring colors, and view familiar landmarks anew. Starting at Parliament Hill, they admired its Gothic Revival architecture and festive atmosphere. The walk continued to Major’s Hill Park, offering a peaceful pause with scenic paths and flower beds. Tulips added color, transforming the walk into a shared experience of observation and connection. Organizers added a playful scavenger hunt, encouraging members to find clues and explore Ottawa's streets. After the walk and scavenger hunt, the group shared a meal at a Chinese restaurant, extending conversations and creating lasting memories.

The outing highlighted how simple community events, like a festival, landmarks, a fun challenge, and a shared meal, can foster meaningful connections. The day ended with full plates, good conversation, and a sense of belonging, making Ottawa feel more like home.
